Experience Matters

Morningside has a way of quickly becoming a place where you will feel welcome and comfortable. In fact, it's pretty common to hear students say that Morningside feels like home.

Our focus on making sure experiences matter as well as our positive, warm campus community has a lot to do with that. Not only are there numerous ways to get involved, but we encourage your active participation in the Morningside experience. This is just one more way we are dedicated to Morningside’s mission of cultivating students who have a passion for lifelong learning and a dedication to ethical leadership and civic responsibility.

What's a better way to gain experience than to get involved on campus?

Through our numerous arts programs, including graphic design, choir, band, and theatre, and our campus organizations and activities, you will always have experiences waiting for you. Many interests and people are represented; it's up to you to join in. If you feel like there won't be a place for you, you can always start a club, or ask your friends for advice! Morningside is here to offer you the best home-away-from-home feel possible.

Campus Facilities

Morningside University has a beautiful 69-acre campus with state of the art facilities. Our small campus allows for students to easily navigate the area, and to take advantage of all of our facility offerings, from fitness centers, to the arts and learning to common areas.

Walk to class and build lifelong friendships in our residence halls! Our halls have laundry on-site, and some include community game and lounge rooms, and fraternities and sororities.

We offer flexible meal plans, and provide meals seven days a week. Most of our students have their meals at our Wikert Dining Hall — affectionately known as the Caf — and we also have a grill and cafe.

Health and wellness center

We provide our students with on-campus care, including the use of nurse practitioners, campus doctors, and a personal counselor. There are also fitness centers around campus.

Performing Arts

We feature nationally recognized performing arts programs and are well-known for our musical abilities and talent. Whether you are musically gifted or want to try something new, we offer choral music, instrumental music, theatre, festivals and workshops.

Whatever your interest is, we most likely have something for you. We offer programs and opportunities to participate in volunteerism in the local area as well as on-campus clubs and activities. Our clubs and activities include music, Greek organizations, sustainability, pre-professional clubs, intramurals, religion, and student government.
